Some bands are brought together by ambition.
IRINA was brought together by trust.
What began in 2010 as two friends writing songs together has gradually grown into a musical family whose identity is built as much on human connection as on music itself.
Today, IRINA brings together Irina Holzinger, Kim Mersch, Bob Mersch, Davide Mirizzi, Erny Sauber and Konni Troost. Every member brings a unique musical language, and together they create a sound that is at once intimate, colourful and unmistakably their own.
Over fifteen years, the band has evolved naturally. The songs have become more mature, more dynamic and increasingly influenced by contemporary pop, while never letting go of the quiet moments that allow emotion to breathe. Folk remains at the heart of IRINA-not as a genre, but as a way of telling stories with honesty.
Although Irina coordinates the band's artistic direction, songwriting remains a genuinely collaborative process. Ideas are shaped together, arrangements grow organically, and every musician leaves a fingerprint on the final result.
It is this collective spirit that audiences experience on stage.
For the band, some of the most meaningful moments happen before and after the concert itself: the anticipation before walking on stage, the silent glance that says we're ready, the trust that carries each performance, and the quiet pride that follows the final applause.
Those shared experiences have kept IRINA together for more than fifteen years.
Whether performing in an intimate venue, a theatre or on a festival stage, the band's goal has never really changed. They want to create a place where, for an hour or two, people can slow down, reconnect, laugh, breathe and simply be themselves.
Because, for IRINA, music isn't an escape from life.
It's a way of feeling at home in it.
